What I wore ... to date night at the Tiki Bar!

Date night with my mister is always a lot of fun; not only do I get to have a laugh with the funniest person I know, but I also get to dress up and go all out! This week I thought I would let you take a peek at what I wore out with him on a night out at the Tiki Bar :D

As you'll see, I started out with my gold glasses and hair down when I was having my pictures taken for this post, but after a little glass of wine I decided to quiff my hair and switch to my really quirky wing tips. You can see that my wild side is expressed quite quickly haha! I think it's amazing how fast a daytime look can be turned into an evening one with only a couple of little tweaks. Never underestimate the power of accessories and back combing!

I blogged about both the Mod Cloth dress and Fred Perry cardigan a while back, but this is the first blog post where you can actually see them on me! I'm really pleased that they work so well together too - they both have quite bold colours which I think adds a really playful edge. Don't be afraid to mix and match ladies! When in doubt, What'sApp a picture to your most trusted bestie... A true friend will not be frightened to tell you if it doesn't work, and that's nothing to get upset about either!
My shell belt is from waaay back in H&M and my little bag is actually an iPad case from Kate Spade. I absolutely adore it and love to use it as a clutch bag when I'm not using it to hold my sketchbook and pencils in my day-to-day canvas bag. There is no way I could afford the proper handbag version (plus the shape is not as nice if you ask me) so this is a great way to compromise :D

Coupled with a boy in a quirky retro styled shirt from Topman you can pretty much guarantee a night full of good times and happy days...
just add rum ;)

    1. Thanks Lauren! I actually have a couple of bags that I bought as iPad cases - it's thrifty, plus they're always way cuter than most clutch bags :B
      So fun!

  3. Love that dress! The print is awesome. Also that bag is so cute. Wouldn't have guessed it was an iPad case if you hadn't said. X

    1. Thanks Helen! I'm a little bit in love with it. Just snapped up another quirky printed dress over the weekend and looking forward to sharing it :D
Oh my gosh, I know right? I mean the only difference is that the zip goes down the sides, but nothing falls out when it gets opened. You'll never look at an iPad case the same way again - a whole world of possibilities!!
