What I wore ... an ice cream beehive!

Oh. My. Gosh. Check out my awesome pastel coloured hair and beehive! Isn't it ice cream-tastic?! Over the weekend I happened to pass through St Andrews Square in Edinburgh where they were hosting Spa in the City, a free weekend of beauty and massage treatments from a selection of Edinburgh's great shops and spas. I new nothing about it, but after discovering I could get my hair done by Toni & Guy for free, naturally I put my plans on hold to abuse the offer!

20 minutes later and my hair is pinned up in the most incredible beehive. Doesn't it look super elegant? I've not had my hair this long in some time, so I was absolutely thrilled to have it done like this, I love tall hair more than anything else in the world - down with straighteners!! With the lilac dye starting to wash out from the Prince gig, I was absolutely thrilled to have a shot on their coloured dry shampoo spray too. I decided to go with pink because it was the most ice cream colour available :D Not only is it a great colour, but it's really easy to spray on and wash off - a great alternative if you're wanting to switch up your look for the weekend!

Here I am celebrating with a visit to the Tasttee Maid! Heehee! I think impromptue hair dos are my latest crush. My trivial saturday suddenly became a mad men style adventure. I talked David into taking me for cocktails and everything :D I could certainly get used to that!

With such pretty hair I had to pick out a pretty dress to match. I picked up this gorgeous polka dot wonder a while back and it's possibly the most romantic dress I own. It's by TFNC London but I think they're probably long gone now... keep an eye out on ebay :) My necklace and bow bag are from Kate Spade, the latter which I picked up during my trip to Florida (my latest favourite designer incase you hadn't noticed!) And my glorious pom pom shoes were from my last DIY project. They go with everything :D

Here I am looking for my ice cream phone case to show you how well matched we are heehee! Overall a grand day out indeed. Turns out making your hair into a beehive is much easier than you'd think and certainly worth having a go at! A big thank you to Nadia who showed me how to do it myself. Don't you think it would be just perfect for a wedding? I hope someone else I know gets married soon :D
