Oh Snap!... A catch up on what we've been up to

Can you believe it's May already? With so many things going on recently it's totally snuck up on us! We were away in France only a few weeks back, but that already feels like it was forever ago! Since we've come back we've had so many different things to work on, which has been great, but it's been rather challenging...

Plenty achievements worth celebrating then!! After setting up our new community Etsy team, we've started up an SEO class based on Etsy's workbooks which has been great so far, but it's all pretty new to us. Hosting online workshops is way out there for me, but I was so happy when it went smoothly! We've also been plotting away on our Etsy Craft Party - you've probably seen that we're taking part in Etsy's global event and hosting one for Edinburgh to participate in... If you can get to Edinburgh, you're more than welcome to join us! Tickets are limited and available till the 9th May (Read all about it here) On top of that, I got asked to go down to the Etsy Summit in London next week - I am super excited about what's in store but have no idea what to expect! Don't worry, I'll be posting all about it when I'm back :D What an adventure!

We've also launched our new line of Junk Food phone cases and we've been working on a brand new product line; nail decals! We're hoping to have our 'Sticky Fingers' junk food nail stickers online and available to buy very soon.... I've been having a lot of fun testing the product to make sure they're finger licking good ;)

Setting up the Etsy team has meant that I've been chatting to lots of our amazing local makers. Over the weekend we went to the Arts Market at OODB Drill Hall and got the chance to meet some of the lovely people behind the avatars which was a lot of fun! It's so great to meet so many talented likeminded people. I was super excited to meet the lovely Helen of Jolly Good Studios for a bit of banter and joke making at Edinburgh's new secret speakeasy Panda & Sons. It looks like a barbers outside and you have to descend stairs and go through a bookcase to get in - what's not to love about that?! Hanging out with Helen was a total blast, it's so great to know someone with a similar sense of humor as mine. She's also got a rad sense of style - you gotta check out her fashion blog Wardrobe Conversations Get ready for a girl crush over the themed outfits!!

With all of that going on finding time to do up our little home has been remarkably tricky. When do people find time to fit this stuff in? We managed to find the perfect sized sofa to get into our lounge -it has taken me 2 years to find one that's small enough and cute enough- check out this teal dream :D I love the colour, the retro style and that it's called a 'Loveseat'. I literally cannot wait till it arrives and I can put my donut cushion on it. It's going to be a great motivator to sort out as much as possible before it arrives as we'll be switching up the place to get it in...

If anyone has tips on time management for home decorating we'd love to hear it. Plus if anyone has some sound advice on how to get rid of things you actually don't need I'd love your advice! I'm a bit of a hoarder and whilst we do give a lot to charity, it takes me a long time to make these small decisions. Any of you suffer the same issue? What do you do?

Last, but certainly not least, you might have heard me squealing on twitter when I managed to bag us tickets to see one of my favourite performers - PRINCE! I've got a big list of artists I'd love to see live and I never thought I would get the chance to catch him after I missed his secret gigs in the UK. I forsee a big post full of pictures after the event; it's going to be epic! I'll be wearing my uber special Prince necklace which I got made by Tatty Devine when I worked there - at the time it was the only name necklace they'd ever made on the purple mirror acrylic which makes it even more magical... Time to make it shine!

Looks like May is probably going to fly by as quickly as April, but with so many exciting things on the horizon I'm certain it's going to be a blog-tastic month :D Bring it on!!
