Naturally, a girl needs to rock some beautiful dresses when she gets whisked away to the French Riviera! I thought it would be cute to do a mini series of outfit posts from our recent trip because I was so inspired by the beautiful surroundings. . . plus I love nothing more than dressing up on holiday!
Pastels are perfect in such a pretty town. Nice is full of quaint little buildings stuck on the sides of hills and each and every one of them is painted and adorable in its own way. Even number 32 is charming with its mint green door! I bought the dress I've got on is from Dorothy Perkins last year, but it was really long (not far off the top of my ankles actually!), so I cut it down and hemmed it to fit me better. You don't need a sewing machine or to be a seamstress to be able to hem a skirt, you just need a needle, some thread and a little bit of patience :) Worth the investment if you ask me!
My new peach polka dot shoes aren't just totally adorable on summery days ... they're a total steal at only £4 too! They're from Primark and they're actually very comfortable (even if you are on a pebble beach!) Who said you cant look amazing on a budget?
My little bag is by Frost & French - aka Floozie at Debenhams. I'm not usually into white handbags, but it fits a DSLR perfectly without being too bulky and it always looks good with my holiday clothes (I never wear a coat and seem to wear more pastels when I go away!)
C'est tres chic!
