ReplyDeleteLike Ilellsee, I like to listen to the rain while enjoying a good book, but I prefer to curl up on the couch with some marshmallow-loaded hot cocoa, a fluffy blanket, and my 75-lb lap dog while I read.

ReplyDeleteFirstly when I see its raining I just run on the terrace to enjoy the rain but after some time the best thing in the world is to wear dry clothes and njoy hot chocolate and yes with a thick blanket around me :)
ReplyDeleteMY favorite thing to do when it's raining (which doesn't happen often in southern california) is to wear layers and go shopping! I love dressing up in scarf, peacoat, tights and boots, grabbing a hot chai latte from starbucks and window shopping in an indoor mall :)

ReplyDeleteMy fav thing to do is turn the music up loud (usually a musical soundtrack like Chicago or evita or somethinğ that reminds me of a fab summer like 'good enough' by dodgy) and dance around the house singing along loudly (and off key) whilst tidying the kitchen. And hoping my dodgy roof doesnt collapse with the wind an rain before I get it fixed then I curl up on the sofa with a good comedy or stand up dvd, put a few nice candles on have a large wine or coffee and laugh away the rain!! X
ReplyDeleteI love to go out, have a little rain dance and come back in absolutely soaking wet. Or else watch the rain bounce off my umbrella, or drizzle down the windowsill, and just look out at the rain. I love to sew with the pitterpatter of the rain on my window, it really inspires me.

grab a polka dot umbrella and go for a wander outside the house! the river swells and as the rain falls i love hearing the rain pattering on the brolly + the smells of the garden are brought to life by the rain so the scents are amazing :) unless it's the winter in which case i'll stay cooped up inside, curling up on the window sill to hear the rain wash against the glass while tracing the paths of the dancing raindrops as they trickle away ^_^ xX

My favorite thing to do if its warm, is go out and play in the rain! We used to have a big hill in our neighborhood and we would get our sleds and boogie boards and slide. Slip and slides are also fun in the rain! Also being in a pool while its raining is such a fun experience. I love rain in summer!

When I was a little girl, my family was very poor. It never occurred to me that we were poor until I was much older because I was a very happy and creative child, and my mom taught me things like embroidery to keep me busy. At one point, we literally lived in a shed for a few months. The shed had a tin roof, and when it rained, the sound of the drops hitting the roof would lull me to sleep. Now, I have a sky light, and the sound of the rain hitting it reminds me of the sound of that old tin roof. When it rains, I like to sit and embroider, letting the sound of the rain comfort me, reminding me of simple and happy times when I felt loved and safe despite our poverty. My dad passed away when I was 16, and my mother passed away when I was 22, so moments like those are very near and dear to my heart.

I'm probably one of the few people that actually likes rainy days. I was never a summer person. I believe it's because I was born in October.
ReplyDeleteSo what do I do when it rains... I go out and walk. Alone and without an umbrella. I hate carrying an umbrella with me! I walk and enjoy the smell of the rain and nature.
Of course, I won't do that if it's pouring. Then, I would probably make myself a cappuccino and enjoy the sound of the rain! :D
And I particularly love storms with lightnings and thunder. It's so exciting! ^^
I know, I'm a bit weird.
Unfortunately, for the last few years, I haven't really had the time to really enjoy the rain, from the inside of the house OR walking in the street. :/ Just one more reason for me to wish I was a kid again, having time for fun things... :)

Well I live in Vancouver Washington and It rains a lot!!!!So what my favorite thing to do on a rainy day is sit on my couch and watch the rain fall then scream!!!! when my dog comes in from outside and jumps in my lap soaking wet : )

I like cooking and making muffins on rainy days :) I always call my friends to come over to my place and enjoy dinner with me when it rains. I also love to just spend time with my bf, usually we drive with his car and listen to good music, it makes rainy days nicer :D
